Linda L. Gaus, the proprietor of MadDocs LLC, has a Ph.D. in German from the University of California-Berkeley and over 15 years of German-English translation experience. In her current incarnation as a freelance translator, her specialties are IT, technical, and marketing translations, but she greatly enjoys breaking things up a bit by translating other kinds of texts – especially literary ones, but also touristic materials and historic documents – whenever she can. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., she now lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, children, and cats.
